The staff is absolutely amazing! They make sure each guest is comfortable and pleased with every aspect of their stay. The rooms are nicely upgraded. Cleaning staff do a great job at maintaining cleanliness. I had no issues and will stay again if I'm ever in Alva again.
Super clean, very spacious, and modern rooms! King room with tv, couch, ottoman, plenty of lightng, refrigerator and Freezer! Full size Ironing board. Don't let the outside look fool you into missing out on staying here.
Very clean facilities, I got a king suite the room was very clean and comfortable. Plenty of room for my hot shot rig in the parking lot located infront of the hotel..which is located next to a little truck stop for those pulling a trailer needing something to eat. Also a big thanks to Teresa Gonzales the manager on duty, I forgot my phone charger and she let me use hers... they go beyond customer service..I will be staying here again
The manager Teresa is awesome!! The room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable!!! I drive hot shot and they had a place for me to park that nobody else offered! Simple, clean and really great folks here. Felt nice being away from home to have a good conversation over coffee and some pretty boujie oatmeal!!
Clean rooms but dated. Carpet shows signs of wear. Repairs have been made to the room but are not very good. Coffee was provided in the room but just enough for one cup. Rates were very good and staff was friendly. I will stay here again
When your first arrive to this place you are shocked on its appearance considering there’s 2 other hotels next to it which look a lot more bigger and better. We had called in advance to see if we can check in sooner than our promise time considering we were coming from a 10 hour drive. The lady initially had said 9am which was 2 hours early. However we arrived at 7am and the lady was kind enough to let us in, which was wonderful we were all drained. The breakfast is pretty simple breakfast but still enough to feel full. The room we stayed was spotless and well kept. The sheets smelled fresh. Restroom was well kept and clean. Overall the hotel was a 5 star experience for us. It was simple and efficient for our needs. If you are used to luxury needs or service this may not be the place but if you are a simple person like myself and my family this is the spot to stay conveniently.
I stayed at this hotel because I am a bugler with Taps For Veterans/Taps Across America and sometimes I travel long distances to perform this service. Last time I played there I stayed next door at Comfort Inn. I was pleased with the cleanliness of the room and the small amenities that they had in the room were very clean as well. A huge difference from my experience with Comfort Inn! The manager was a very pleasant woman who made sure to give me all I needed and added the discount for being a veteran. Something the other hotels did not do. The cost was great for me since I volunteer my services to play Taps for all veterans and it’s my cost for travel and lodging and it may be a small discount but still it helps us to be able to provide this service to our veterans. The housekeeper was very helpful as well because I had my hands full and she opened the door to my room. The funny thing was that I had went to room 102 but my room was 120 which they quickly just adjusted for my convenience. They went above and beyond to help me since I needed to perform shortly after arriving. They are the best hotel in Alva to stay and although Alva is a big town for that part of Oklahoma it’s been affected by a very slow economy and isn’t a tourist stop but more of a stop for the weary traveler. This has affected the conditions of the short stay hotels in town and Days Inn is able to do proper upkeep of their hotel that others lack. I’ve stayed at many Days Inns across the country and they are one of the best in accommodation of their guests. So if you find yourself needing lodging in Alva I suggest that you stay with them. There is a Walmart within walking distance from them as well as other stores and restaurants. I couldn’t be any more pleased especially with the cost of my room being only $58 which was half of what I paid in fuel for this trip. They deserve every star. It’s not a luxury hotel but they do treat you as it is. They are pet friendly but if you’re a smoker you’ll find that they have designated places that allow you to smoke and are convenient to your room.
The hotel is definitely dated compared to its neighbors that appear to have gotten facelifts. Things were still clean and everything worked. Shower head had a narrow stream and couldn't be adjusted. Beds were firm, pillows were flat. TV was advertised with HBO but didn't have it. All in all it was fine but I would consider its updated competitors next time.
